The Minolta XG-1 is an extremely popular camera which uses Minolta's MD bayonet mount for a wide variety of lenses. It was a strong contender at the time of its release, featuring:
Aperture priority metering
Full manual mode
Electronically timed shutter
TTL flash auto-exposure
The standard lens for the XG-1 is a MD Rokkor 45mm f2. Like the earlier MC Rokkors, MD lenses have external meter couplers which work pretty much the same way as an Nikon AI lens. In addition, MD Rokkors add an internal coupler which facilitates the shutter priority auto exposure and viewfinder displays of the XD series cameras. In terms of optical quality, this 45mm f2 is only a relatively average performer though it still upholds the reputation of normal lens being fast in speed, good in quality, and economical in price.
In good working condition with some of the usual wear and tear as well as a small dent as pictured, light meter has been tested and is working, and it has had all light seals replaced. Comes with original Rokkor kit lens as pictured.

Due to the nature of vintage items being used, we cannot guarantee that any item will be in perfect working condition. Oftentimes vintage items need a bit more creativity to operate than a brand new item and can have unique quirks like a stiff button, or wiggly latch. We do our best to thoroughly test and describe the condition of every item we sell.
Returns will be handled on a case by case basis.
