LIthographed tin was first introduced to toy manufacturers in the 1880’s. Kirchhof Toys which was founded in 1852 by Charles Kirchhof in Newark, New Jersey was one of the most prolific manufacturers of toy noise makers using lithographed tin in their design process. Initially the company was a small manufacturer of small metal toys and noisemakers and later expanded to include other tin household items and entertainment products. This vintage clown tin litho noisemaker is in good working condition with some small scratches and rust typical of a tin toy of this era.

Due to the nature of vintage items being used, we cannot guarantee that any item will be in perfect working condition. Oftentimes vintage items need a bit more creativity to operate than a brand new item and can have unique quirks like a stiff button, or wiggly latch. We do our best to thoroughly test and describe the condition of every item we sell.
Returns will be handled on a case by case basis.
