This art deco style AM radio is made by Westinghouse of Hamilton, Ontario in 1939. A small and dainty radio with five vacuum tubes which take a minute to warm up when you switch it on but once glowing, it will fill the room with sounds of the past if you can catch the oldies station, or you can just tune in to the news.
Like most radios of this era it has internal directional antenna which means no antenna sticking out the side to ruin the look. AM signal is strongest in the evenings.
In very good working condition but has one chip in the rear corner and several cracks, all pictured.
Original white bakelite case with red bakelite knobs, a rare colour combination as most radios at the time would be made from brown bakelite to imitate wood.
Cord is somewhat stiff and has a couple fine cracks and so this radio should only be used while you are in the same room to supervise it.

Due to the nature of vintage items being used, we cannot guarantee that any item will be in perfect working condition. Oftentimes vintage items need a bit more creativity to operate than a brand new item and can have unique quirks like a stiff button, or wiggly latch. We do our best to thoroughly test and describe the condition of every item we sell.
Returns will be handled on a case by case basis, and partial refunds will not be given under any circumstances.
Returns must be shipped back at customer's expense and original purchase and shipping will be refunded after a case is opened with Canada Post.
