Hand Painted Egyptian Themed Glass Lampshade

Hand Painted Egyptian Themed Glass Lampshade

Ask a question

This small frosted glass lampshade is from a wrought iron bridge lamp like the one in the last photo. These lamps were very common from the late 1800's onward through the 1930's and would commonly have a small glass lampshade to compliment the owner's taste in decor.

This lamp shade was made in the 1920's when there was a resurgence in Egyptomania due to the discovery of King Tutankhamun's tomb. The public became so fascinated with the culture that soon there were stage shows recounting the story of Cleopatra, and new fashion and home decor trends emerged with fine details paying homage to the opulence of ancient Egyptian royalty

In good condition but with the usual small chips around the upper edge which are not visible once mounted in a lamp, and one visible chip in the bottom edge as pictured.

Due to the nature of vintage items being used, we cannot guarantee that any item will be in perfect working condition. Oftentimes vintage items need a bit more creativity to operate than a brand new item and can have unique quirks like a stiff button, or wiggly latch. We do our best to thoroughly test and describe the condition of every item we sell.
Returns will be handled on a case by case basis, and partial refunds will not be given under any circumstances.

Returns must be shipped back at customer's expense and original purchase and shipping will be refunded after a case is opened with Canada Post.
