This radio was built by the Clinton Mfg. Co. of Chicago, IL in 1938 and would have been their most premium model of the time. Radio cabinets at that time were made primarily of wood, bakelite, or coloured plastic with the latter being considered the top grade material. In the 1930's plastics were very new and this radio was designed to show off beauty in design from every angle, with a back that is fully enclosed and looks nearly as good as the front.
In working condition having had any defective tubes or parts replaced with contemporary pieces. Our radios are repaired by a professional and you can watch this radio's complete overhaul on Youtube by Jlindenas at : https://youtu.be/3yXMdoNFJ3M
Has a minor crack in the cabinet as pictured and one station preset button is missing it's paper label, but otherwise this piece is in excellent condition.

Due to the nature of vintage items being used, we cannot guarantee that any item will be in perfect working condition. Oftentimes vintage items need a bit more creativity to operate than a brand new item and can have unique quirks like a stiff button, or wiggly latch. We do our best to thoroughly test and describe the condition of every item we sell.
